This Fireflite Convertible is one of a very few completely stock “Fifty-Nine Year old” surviving unrestored 1956 DeSoto Fireflite Convertibles!
Engine: 330 Cu/In, 230H/P HEMI V8 Engine with Carter four-barrel carburetor, PowerFlite Two Speed Automatic Transmission. This 330 Hemi engine is complete but it could not turn it over by hand, I hing it well need to be rebuilt!
Equipped: with Power Brakes, Power Steering, Factory Heater, and Town & Country AM Radio.
Body: This car has no surface rust, but it has two holes behind the rear wheel well. See pictures below and also note the original green cloth upholstery that has very little water damage, this car was stored inside for over thirty-five years and is completely dry. There are 3 small minor dents, one on the passenger front fender, one behind the driver’s side door and another behind the passenger side door. and a dent in the trunk, (replacement trunk lid will come with car) This car needs body work and paint. The original green cloth upholstery should be good for a driver but who buys a rare car like this to drive to work. This is a rare and great original survivor car that must be restored!”
Interior: Note that the Original Green Cloth and Leather Upholstery is in Great Condition proving that this convertible was kept indoors and “out of the weather for most of its Sixty-year life!”
