* * 1971 Dodge Charger Superbee * *
This is a mostly original 1971 Charger with the Superbee package that is in great shape and a blast to drive.
This is the only year the superbee was incorporated into the charger line up and limited in number.
They came standard with HD suspension, wheel well moulding, Stripe kit with Power Bulge hood and Insert and Charger 500 interior with a bench seat and a 383/3 speed manual. Any array of options were available for order.
This one was originally a big block 383 Charger with an automatic 727 transmission and 8 3/4 chrysler rear. Drum brakes and manual steering-
-Now it has a rebuilt steel crank 440 that is a great street motor with loads of torque but smooth running and idles with no trouble. One of the best big block cars I have ever had as it never runs hot and is easy to manage and a joy to drive on the interstate or in town.
-Transmission is original 727 Torqueflite and has been rebuilt to factory standards with less than 500 miles since rebuild.
This car has had a minimal restoration since it was in fairly good shape... it has had a full one-piece floor put it in a patch in the quarter and a paint job to original B5 Blue.
Interior is in great shape and has a new headliner installed and a very nice dash pad that looks factory fresh. Bucket seats are supportive and in nice shape. Other than that it was clean and original when I bought it. All glass is original and in good shape. Hood
Has a plethora of OEM parts used where any of the original was needed or replaced. Very original car through out but she is 44 years old now.
