1959 Edsel Corsair Convertible
Equipped with the 332 Express V8 and Mile O Matic 2 speed Auto Transmission
Original colors are President Red exterior , Black and Red interior , Black Top
Only 1, 343 1959 Edsel convertibles were built according to the Edsel registry and you don't see many for sale as most are in hands of private collectors
This Edsel runs and drives good for it's age and the fact that it has not ever been a total restoration but certainly is a worthy candidate
It has been repainted at some point in it's past . .and I believe that the interior upholstery may be original and most soft trim is probably original also and very well preserved
There is some blemishes, bubbles in the paint in the lower body panels and paint is showing it's age, as most would say a 10 footer. The floor pans look good and solid and are the original floors and repairs have been made where necessary ... and the quarters have been repaired in the past
The interior is presentable but the front seat on the driver's side has 3 seams separating
The paint is driver quality and still looks good from a short distance but upon close inspection you can see the blemishes
The bumpers have very good chrome and some of the other chrome is showing pitting but most is good
The convertible top is in good condition and is power assisted and it operates properly
The engine was removed in 1990 and rebuilt ...it does run well and starts easily , and just installed new exhaust manifold gasket so no exhaust leaks which are common to this engine
The original VIN/data tag is still on the vehicle
