Up for auction is my clean 1966 Mustang Convertible. This is a very solid original California car (built at San Jose/Milpitas plant and DSO of Los Angeles) with original CA black & yellow plates. The car sports the factory correct and rare Sauterne Gold paint with black top and black interior. Drivetrain consists of a solid (runs cool with very good oil pressure) C code (stock internals) 289 cid (with mild upgrades) and a T5 (5 speed) manual transmission that replaced the original C4 automatic; best upgrade I did to this car...way funner to drive than with automatic transmission! I would say with all the bolt-on upgrades (see listed below) I've made to this car , I would call it a mild restomod driver. The only issues I would say it has are some paint blemishes (chips, scratches, cracks - see pics) which are typical of any 25+ year old paint, rear window/curtain (canvas frame) is pretty worn, but functional, and a tear in driver side seat upholstery. All electrical works and power top operates smoothly. Overall, this is a super fun driver (handles much better than a stock '66 Mustang) that gets a lot of thumbs-up whenever I drive it. Engine:
Edelbrock Performer intake manifold (painted blue for stock look)
Edelbrock Performer 500 CFM carburetor
Hi-Po K code exhaust manifolds with 2-1/4 inch dual exhaust
Pertronix Ignitor II ignition module with matching coil
All new wiring harnesses under-hood (headlight harness, engine gauge harness, and alternator harness)
Brakes:
Front drum brakes removed and replaced with new stock style (Kelsey Hayes) 4 piston manual disc system with dual reservoir master cylinder, slotted rotors, EBC pads, and adjustable proportioning valve
Suspension and Steering:
New premium (reworked/enhanced) upper and lower control arms from Opentracker Products
Upper control arms were lowered 1 inch (Shelby Mod) for better geometry
Rollerized front coil spring perches (better than stock style rubber) from Opentracker Products
Adjustable (heim jointed) front strut rods from Rosehill Performance Products
Lowered coil springs (1 inch) from National Parts Deport and reverse eye 4-1/2 leafs in rear from Mustangs Plus
Set of Bilstein street performance shocks from Maier Racing Products
Export brace and Monte Carlo bar added under hood for strength
Total Control Products convertible style sub frame connectors welded to underbody to stiffen unibody
Front sway bar (1 inch diameter) from Mustangs Plus
Manual rack & pinion unit from Unisteer Performance (nice and tight!)

Modern Driveline cable system for clutch operation
