1961 International Scout 80 4x4 (first year made!). 75, 490 actual miles on original 4 cyl 152 Comanche engine. Clear WA state title. Engine starts and runs well. Fairly straight and solid. Dual factory gas tanks, West Coast factory IH mirrors, and towing package? Comes with used set of Michelin LT tires, new brake hoses and wheel cylinder kits, line setting ticket copy, ads, brochures, repro operators manual, repro transfer case sticker, and an almost brand new battery from Napa auto parts (not shown). This vehicle has been neglected for quite awhile and will need work and/or complete restoration. The drivetrain is original and it seems that most parts are original. What I see that is missing or has been changed: no rear tire carrier, front seats replaced, holes drilled for CB stuff. The only areas of really bad rust are the front floorboards which had orange shag carpet. These will need replaced. The brakes are completely shot and will need rebuilt. The transmission slips in 1st gear going downhill and it wanders a bit driving at highway speeds (may just be a feature in internationals!). The scout will need to be towed or trailered. It does start and drive, but does not stop at all. I think this Scout would be a good candidate for restoration, but please look at the photos and feel free to ask questions before bidding. I have the service manual and parts catalog in a separate auction if interested.
