I've had to relist my Miata due to a non-paying bidder. For auction is my 1995 Miata MX-5. I am the second owner of this vehicle (5 years) and it had 29, 000 miles when I bought it. I purchased it from an older gentle who was starting to have difficulty getting in and out of it and so he reluctantly sold it. H had new tires put on it just before he sold it to me and as you can see there is plenty of tread left (85%?). I searched a long time for a Miata in this kind of pristine, low-mileage condition because I didn't want the more fancier model. Why? Because I love the look of the older school sports cars (didn't want air conditioning or power windows either) and if you know Miatas, then you know its look is like the classic British Lotus Elan (the look I wanted). So I started with an extremely pristine basic Miata, painted the slotted steel wheels, and added beauty rings to begin with. I didn't want the solid black interior so I took it to an auto upholstier and had the seats and door redone in high-quality tan vinyl (most people thinks its leather, but this wears better). I also added real rose wood gear shift and emergency brake handle, and added simulated wood overlays to the center console and steering wheel. I changed the original fuel pump to a high-volume unit (better running and a little more power), changed the air filter to a two-stage unit (also better running and a little more power) both items were purchased from Moss Miata. I wanted a limited slip differential like the M model so I had a Mazda RX7 lsd unit put in, the original diff will come with the car. Here is a list of other things I have done: all four shocks replaced with Koni sport shocks, under the hood is a three-point stainless steel Cobalt sway bar and a two point one in the back (creates stiffer body), the timing belt was replaced with the best Gates brand one I could buy, and while I was at it I replaced the original water pump with a high-volume unit, stainless steel mesh grill to prevent any road debri from damaging radiator, billet aluminum skid plate under front of engine (original was plastic) to further protect from road debri and allow for better cooling, red powder coated the valve cover (well, just for looks!). I am 64 years old and the things added above was not for racing, I just love the solid feel of a well engineered car and want it to be reliable for my wife and my Sunday drives, it is a blast to drive! You will also see in the photos it comes with a hard top and the storage rack for it. I have a full car cover for it and a cover for when you park it with the convertible top down (very handy). The spare is new and will fit in the floor of the trunk, but not back out of the way as normal because the rear shock tower sway bar prevents this. The sway bar is easily removed (bolts on) if you want to have more trunk space by mounting spare in normal place. The battery is new (mounted in trunk) and I have installed a trickle battery keeper for when the car is stored during the winter. The car has never been wrecked, driven on gravel roads, never driven in the winter time, and just once in the rain (got caught in a sudden summer shower). Had heart surgery last month (praise God all went well)and am selling off some of my vehicles (reluctantly), Bidding starts at $6000 and I have reduced the reserve yet again, No warranties implied and shipping is the responsibility, Thanks for looking.
