Up for auction is a true garage find- A 1969 Mercury Cougar XR7 that has 88395 Original Miles, and has been a one owner car until last year when I purchased the vehicle. Last date of registration was 1997 when it was parked in a garage in West Covina, CA, it was towed to my garage in Oxnard CA in 2014. This vehicle is 99% stock with the exception of the hood scoop, and 15x7 Magnum wheels. Very highly optioned vehicle that includes- 351 Windsor 4 barrel- factory A/C, that works- factory tilt wheel- factory rim blow steering wheel, that works - power windows- power front disc brakes-automatic transmission- factory bucket seats, head rest delete- console- full gauge package- factory tach. This vehicle runs well maintaining oil pressure at 60 psi and at idle it maintains 30 psi. Paint on this vehicle is in excellent shape, it is the factory original single stage acrylic urethane, body is 100% rust free, no cancer in any part of this Cougar not even under the vinyl top. Vinyl top is perfect, interior is near perfect with the exception of the console armrest pad which has a couple of cracks, the door panel handle pull on the right door has a crack in the vinyl, and there are a couple of small nicks in the door panel itself, but considering the vehicle is a 46 year old car and the panels are original they look fantastic, the headliner and sail panels are perfect, the carpet is perfect, even the original door sill plates look new, and the dash pad is flawless, not one crack. The one thing I did one to mention is the drive train down to the power steering pump, radiator , engine, transmission, rear end is 100% numbers matching. The tires are brand new Cooper Cobra 235-60-15 on all 4 corners. The wheels are brand new Wheel Vintage Magnum 500 with Red running cat centers, I do have the original hubcaps that have the spinners on them that will be included with the car, brakes have been checked and redone with all NOS parts, no crap. Did want to add one other thing, I do have the original owners manual that is issued by the dealer with the buyers full name and address as well as the dealers address and if you know Cougars you know how difficult it is to find one that was sold with the car.
