This is a wild show stopping 1965 Mercury M100 Gasser pickup.
Similar to the Ford body style and very popular these days - the Mercury being exclusively RARE as a model as it was Canadian production only
This truck won Hot Rod Magazines Top Ten at the 2015 Detroit Autorama, 2nd at the Toronto Motorama, and has been first in class at almost every show entered.
At the Wheels on the Bay show recently, Jimmie Shine of So Cal fame and Steve Darnell of Welder Up fame signed the dash for me as they loved the truck so much.
Look to the pictures - they do not do it justice but will give you an idea of what the truck is like
Built as a gasser it has the 12 wide white wall slicks, skinney whites on the front, with chrome ladder bars, and aluminum period perfect wheelie bars.
The chassis is all 1991 F150 so parts are very easy to get at your local parts store should you ever need repairs and provides up to date disc brakes and modern steering.
The trucks most prominent feature is its one of a kind reverse tilt front end. I designed this setup 30 some years ago, and have installed it on every truck I have ever built - and it turns heads everywhere. You can not go to a car show without becoming surrounded by people looking. It sounds amazing driving down the road , and if you put your foot in it - you will know it means business as it can be extremely loud up around 4500 or so rpm.
The truck has a 350 chevy in it with all the good parts - edelbrock heads and thumper cam, Scat crank eagle rods, trw blower pistons etc. 5 speed std tranny , centreforce clutch, 4:11 posi 8.8 Ford rear.
Most of the exterior trim is new, except the grille itself.
Inside is a custom interior sporting a custom built stereo system that would give many competition stereos a run. All new wiring harness by American Autowire, tilt column, etc
Full 3 dual exhaust with electric cut outs and fender well headers. The headers are from a mid 60s chevy twice so they would be easy to replace should they ever rot out.
The truck is not a show truck - it is a daily driver - it has some stone chips here and there.
Runs awesome with no known issues as everything mechanical was new in March of 2015. This truck has everything required for a proper safety check here in Canada - so it has proper seat belts, windshield washers, heater, backup lights, emergency brake etc etc - this is not a wanna be street vehicle.
I will consider a partial trade and cash on a chopped car or truck. Can be a project so long as the body work and glass are complete
