I purchased this 1978 MGB in 2005. Late last year I decided to pull off the carbs (twin SUs) for a rebuild and haven't gotten around to fixing them up and refitting them. The car is not currently running.
Should be an easy fixup or great for parts (sniff).
There have been many recent updates:
- Alternator
- Clutch master and slave cylinders
- Fuel pump
- Brake pads, shoes
I’ve always maintained it properly, performing most of the work with care myself. It hasn’t been driven much in the past four years and it’s been garage kept. The top has a couple of rips in the usual spots. The body is in great shape except for a a bitt of rust/bubbles along the bottom right side near the fenders. Along with the car, I’m including a ton of books and a great roadside kit: points, plugs, wires, distributor cap, hoses, fuel pump and more.
It’s a wonderful car! I’m selling to switch to a four-seater that will fit the growing family.
