1977 MG MGB

MG MGB (1977)
for sale

Price: US $200.00

Description:

Being re-listed due to non local sale. Reserve is lower than what I have in the car and I just have to stop investing in it. I am adding on to my garage and need to sell. I purchased 2 MGB's last fall and I'm finally getting to number 1. The car was sitting in dry storage last driven/inspected in 2010. The car will make a really nice driver with little work or make a great restoration. The body was painted and the paint is really nice having a nice shine with no runs, chips or scratches. The floor on the passenger is solid front to back with a bit of surface rust. The drivers side floor has a small hole and will need repaired at some time but is drivable as is. The underside looks to be pretty decent except for the passenger side rocker showing some rust and bubbling. Inside the fender wells look decent except at the bottom in the front passenger side needing patches. Some repair should be done to the piece under the rockers ( those entire repair pieces list for $119 but you could repair without buying the repair panels ) The Trunk is pretty clean having some surface rust but is solid and includes an original jack, spare and boot cover rails. The body looks really nice overall. The dash has 2 cracks on top and can be repaired with an overlay. All gauges, bezels, switches look really nice and are present. I know the tach, speedo, oil, and temp gauges work, not sure on the gas as I haven't put a lot in. I've sorted most of the electrical problems. All head lights and side markers work, still working on the turn signals, flashers work with a new switch installed as well as a new turn signal switch. I replaced/soldered all wires with bullets where needed so far. All the dash lights are working as well as is the rheostat. There is no radio. Brand new battery too. The engine starts easily and runs and idles as it should and holds good oil pressure. I just had it tuned but the PO never ported the intake on the side draft Weber to accept the vacuum line from the distributor, that will need addressed. The car Shifts as it should. Convertible top is in excellent condition with a zip out window, all windows are clear. the rear wheel cylinders will need replaced but brake shoes are excellent. Tires are older but ok. The car has newer carpet and the seats are really nice. This will make a great driver, restoration as you drive car. It's all there and with a little work, it'll be great. All the big stuff is done, paint, seats, carpet, running. Please don't ask if the car can be driven long distances, it is not ready for that yet!! Clear title ready to transfer.
I try to describe my items the best I can so there are no surprises. Please check my feedback. If you have any questions or would like to come see the car, call me at 814-931-0627. I will assist in shipping as long as buyer makes all arrangements in advance. This car will make a really nice driver or great restoration as it's all there. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time as I have the car for sale locally. Thanks and bid away!!!!!!
