First off; let me say: if you're not certain of what you want or are prone to buyers remorse or in anyway uncertain whether you can handle you own decisions please, PLEASE DO NOT BID! No tire kickers! Which is the unfortunate reason I am now relisting this car. I really want to see this go to someone who truly knows what they want and knows the value of what their getting, Thank you.
Hello and thanks for looking, Here is my little Midget, she is in excellent shape and has been restored from the tub up. I found her in a garage in MT. Pleasant SC. Where she had sat for some 18 years and was 99% rust free. A real survivor! I restored her from the ground up which included shaving the bumpers and side lights recessing the license plate in the rear body panel and shaving the gas tank cap and relocated it in the trunk. I rebuilt every inch of her body and give her a top quality paint job using BASFs urethane basecoat clear coat. The interior is all new and the seats are from pro-car the top is also new and is sta-fast cloth in black. Even the dash pad is new. Also you will see in the photos a nice custom made rain/dust/ sun cover that goes on in seconds and keeps her dry and clean when you need to park and shop awhile. It also saves your tail end on hot days lol. .The wheels are from John Brown in England and are the original mini-lite's style 13 x 5.5s
There is so much more to this lil car and would take a week of writing to get it across in this listing so take note of my phone number below and if your serious about bidding I will be happy to talk to you.
The entire drivetrain has been rebuilt and refreshed, the motor was totally rebuilt and has everything new from the Pistons to the crankshaft and new performance camshaft and bearings with a double row HD timing chain, head work and new Weber carb and manifold. The points distributor has been custom built just for this motor and performs extremely well, It has a pacesetter header and pacesetter duel exhaust and sounds awesome. This lil girl runs out very nice! And is absolutely trouble free!
The brakes were also done and the system flushed, brake lines replaced and of course new master cylinder and same with the clutch. The suspension was completely gone thru and all bushings, bearings and tie rod ends are new. Also I converted it to tapered wheel bearings and did away with the roller bearings.
The car only has approximately 2k miles since I built it so everything is in pretty good shape. I really built it to keep it.The transmission has also been compleatly rebuilt with all new brass and 1st gear sync all new seals, gaskets, bearings, clutch and pressure plate. The rear end wasn't left out and as well was completely gone thru and the pumpkin replaced with a 390 set of gears as well as all new seals and bearings. Now she will run along on the highway with the rest and has no trouble with 65 mph all day long.
You also may want to know that she has taken 1st in class in most all the local car shows. She's quite the attention getter...And gets lots of smiles at every corner you turn. She also come with photos of the progress of her in all stages of the build.
This car was rebuilt compleatly by me and me alone I am a retired auto body man and master mechanic of more than 40 years who has restored Many many exotic and rare automobiles and am very qualified in what I do. Thank you for your time, and if your looking for an extremely fun little car to truly enjoy you just found her!😜 There's nothing like it! a true one of a kind...
