1951 MG TD Convertible for your consideration. All proceeds benefit the St. Paul Episcopal Church Building Expansion Fund. This car belongs to a parishioner who is no longer able to drive it, so he has graciously donated it to St. Paul Episcopal Church in Seymour, TN to use to raise funds for the parish.
It is an older restoration, but it has obviously been carefully and lovingly maintained since. The body is very solid and straight with no evidence of repairs. The cream color (primrose) paint is in very nice condition. The chrome is in presentable condition save for an indention in the front bumper. This is an American version, with standard left hand drive. The exact mileage on this car is unknown due to the limits of the mechanical odometer.
The interior has been restored in red leather with black carpeting. The section behind the seat has a nice, polished wood bottom.
The engine runs smoothly and quietly, the steering is nice and tight, and the transmission shifts smoothly. The tires are in great condition with plenty of tread life left.
The undercarriage, interior, and under-hood areas are very clean. It comes with a complete set of side curtains to match the top (all of which are in great condition).
Included with this car is a set of shop manuals, owners manuals, and MG floor mats.
The clutch pedal has been modified with an extension to make it comfortable for shorter drivers. This extension is easily removed for taller drivers.
This is a fantastic car to get out and enjoy Sunday afternoon drives, and the condition is such as it is a very dependable driver. Until last year, the owner drove and enjoyed this car as a daily driver, and often won people's choice awards in local car shows.
