MG T-Series (1953)
for sale

Price: US $2,000.00

Description:

Today we offer a Rare Garage find.
1953 MG TD. This is a garage kept, restoration project in running condition With CLEAR OHIO TITLE. Its not road ready, as the brakes and Very Old Dunlop tires will need attention.
We are the third owners of this car. After spending many years in the dry garages of 2 previous owners we were able to bring the car into our shop, install a Battery, new fuel pump & lines in order to get it running. The engine sounds very good and shows no smoke or unusual noises although the carbs. should be rebuilt. The tachometer and gauges work. The clutch does engage and I drove it around our parking lot using the hand brake.
We cleaned and detailed the car with out disturbing the originality or patina. We think the new owners will want to see the honest condition of this car and will restore it to their taste. The body is very straight, free of rust or damage, even the wood sub-structure appears to be rot free. The doors fit nice. The paint ( is at least 35 years old) has a lot of chips/scratches but shines well and I believe it could be spot repaired or blended to keep some originality. Unfortunately there are NO bumpers with this car. The original top and side curtains are in presentable condition. The original upholstery is present but very tattered and will need replaced. The steering wheel and gauges are in near perfect condition. The windshield glass is good and the chrome frame is Excellent.
