Hello. I am selling my 2001 Mitsubishi Galant for parts or to be fixed. It starts every time and runs, but the engine shakes/knocks pretty bad at idle. The car will run normally for awhile but when it stops in slow moving traffic or at a light etc., it shakes hard until the speed picks back up again. Also, some white smoke does come out of the tailpipe. I only took short trips when I was driving it back in April. It's sitting in the driveway now and gets started regularly. I had it looked at by a few mechanics and they all said different things so I'm not going to pinpoint. All I know is that the engine misfires.
The radiator or hoses do need to be replaced, and the coolant in the reservoir needs to be flushed. The car did not overheat in the 3 years that I owned it (and still doesn't), but the coolant doesn't flow from the tank to the radiator anymore. The fan does function, and I kept coolant inside of the radiator so I never had a problem with overheating. I did this as a quick solution because I wasn't driving it that much.
The air conditioning and heat works, there's a fairly new Pioneer radio/CD player installed 8 months ago, and the transmission shifts as it should with no issues. All power locks and windows are functioning, except the passenger side window and inner panel needs to be fixed.
This is a fixer upper but if you can do the work yourself, or know a mechanic who can fix it, then it will be a great running vehicle again.
It is located in Annapolis, Maryland, and you are welcomed to inspect it yourself. You will think that it's in good shape at first, but when you drive it after awhile, it will be as I described. I do not offer temp tags, however Annapolis has authorized tag and title places (or go to the MVA) if you're local and need to drive it for a short distance. Otherwise, it will have to be towed at the buyer's expense. Again, it does run but not well enough for long distances. Of course it can also be used for parts.

Please note that the pictures do not show every imperfection of the vehicle. There are some light scratches, a few small dings, and scruffs on the exterior. The paint has faded on the trunk and some chips of paint on the bumpers. The gas gauge is not working properly but the gas light will come on when near empty. The seat has no major stains, and is in fair condition. Overall, it's not a bad looking car for a 2001. It will be decent to drive again once fixed.
