Hi I'm Evan from RaceTech Electric. This is my new personal Ebay account that I have started, and I'm still building up positive feedback on this account. You can see my business ebay account 'racetechelectric', which has over 1400 positive feedback. This was a personal car and project, so I'm selling it under my personal account.  I just wanted to explain the low feedback level in case you were wondering.  I have an amazing daily driver reliable Opel GT sports car today! This car was listed on ebay last week and did sell, however he buyer backed out the next day. I am relisting the car on ebay, and I now have it for sale locally as well, so I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time due to a local sale. Check out the pictures, video and description, and let me know if you have any questions!  This car has a clean CA title, and non-op registration, so it's ready to be registered in any state or county.
I'm selling my 1971 Opel GT. This car has been a shop side project for fun and we have used it as our local parts delivery vehicle (which was really just an excuse to go rip around in a super fun sports car while working every day!).  This car is in amazing shape.  It's pretty hard to find an Opel GT with no rust (and working flip up headlights!), but you have one right here. The car is mechanically extremely solid and reliable.  The body is in very nice shape, with great paint that has a good shine. The interior is very recent, with newly recovered seats and new carpet and headliner. It is very comfortable and clean inside. The car drives very nicely and straight, street or highway.  Please see my paragraphs below on specific parts of the car and work that has been done within the last month.
Brakes/Wheels:
New pads were installed up front, and fresh brake fluid flushed through entire system. The front disc brakes are in excellent shape, with good rotors and calipers. Another good set of front pads is included. The calipers were disassembled and cleaned and painted black. The rear drums have just been rebuilt with all new hardware and shoes. The drums are in excellent condition, and have been cleaned and painted black.  New wheel cylinders were installed in the rear as well.  All new inner & outer wheel bearings installed up front, with new seals as well. Fresh grease on all wheel bearings.  All bushings, shocks, steering & suspension parts are in excellent shape.
Engine/Transmission:
The 1.9L 4 cylinder has just been completely tuned up. Complete new ignition system: points, condenser, rotor, distributor cap, plug wires, spark plug, coil. All new wiring harness was installed in the engine compartment. New voltage regulator for the generator. A new Interstate battery was installed, and a new battery tray built to strengthen and relocate the battery from the floor. The floor here in front of the radiator was corroded from an old battery leaking, which is why the new battery mount was made.  The car has a Webert 2bbl carb conversion installed. It is a Weber DGAV carb. It has just had a full rebuild kit installed, and the motor has been tuned with the rebuilt carb. It starts right up and idles well and pulls hard.  The 4 speed manual transmission is smooth, with good clutch feel. All 4 forward gears and reverse work perfectly.
Body/Misc:
New exhaust hangers were installed for the rear muffler unit.  All the lighting and electrical works well.  The car also has a very interesting air conditioning unit installed in the rear under the package tray. There is no a/c compressor installed on the engine, so it must have been removed in the past. The air conditioning system does not work, but it looks like the majority of the parts are there. The manual crank windows and door locks work well. The seat adjustment hardware (slide fwd/back, tilt) work great.
This car is in excellent shape and ready to drive. Check out the pictures and video and let me know if you have any questions!
I run my vehicle auctions starting from $0.99, with no reserve. I expect the condition of my vehicles to drive the bidding to a fair price for both of us.  I require a $500 deposit to be paid by PayPal within 24 hours of winning the auction.  I will accept payment in full via PayPal or cash in person. Those are the only payment methods acceptable.  I require payment in full within 3 days of the auction closing.  As long as payment is made, I can store the vehicle for up to 1 week while the buyer arranges pickup or shipping. I am happy to ship the vehicle worldwide, but this is at the buyers expense and arrangement. I will help with the shipping process by meeting the shipping company and helping load the vehicle.   If you have any questions at all, please call me anytime, I'm happy to help. My cell phone is 619-985-2527. Or of course, message me through ebay.
