this is a 1970 opel record c coupe, it has a 1.9 cam in head 4 cylinder engine, 4 speed transmission, the car has power disc brakes in front with drum in rear, front and rear sway bars, it has a trac bar on the rear diff, bucket seats, floor shifter. the battery , brakes and fuel hoses are new. I just rebuilt the carb and cleaned the fuel tank. this car was brought to America from Austria in 1970 by the original owner and has only driven it 16, 000 km( or 9, 000miles)the car was always garage kept. to the best of my knowledge THIS IS THE ONLY 1970 OPEL REKORD C IN AMERICA, as this model was never sold or imported into America, how it got here is a mystery. the car has no vin number plate until 1995 when the state of California issued one that is in the form of a sticker on the left door pillar.if there is another one in America it is not on the web anywhere to be found. this car would make a great little show car as it has very nice lines and people that see it for the first time always scratch their head as they walk around it. that said anyone rolls up to a car show will have THEE ONLY ONE THERE. the car runs and stops very nice, and will only need a set of tires to be able to go anywhere.the car gets around 22 mpg.
