Up for sale my 1972 Detomaso Pantera
Ive owned this car for 34 years.
The speedometer reads 24, 298 but the actual milage is 43, 371. In 1980 (7-10-1980) the speedo was replaced by a FORD dealer. At the time, the milage was 18, 073. The dealer attached a Ford sticker on the left door jam, which reads Add 18, 073 to the reading. I have the sticker in my registration folder.
The first parts I installed on the car, were n outside fuel filler door and filler tube, plus all engine screen which came with a 73 Pantera. As with other Pantera owners, I started adding upgrades to the car, the first of which was adding stainless steed cooling tubes, tanks, radiator, and fans with 2 -
50 amp. relays and new fan sensors. Replaced A/C compressor with a Sanden (508) compressor, hoses, receiver drier, expansion valve, and new R-134a freon. Powder coated the front suspension , removed the rack and pinion, replaced the seals and new tie rod boots. Installed new Koni shocks and springs, frt. and rear. Also installed new suspension bushing front and rear. I removed the engine and trans, re-sealed the trans for any leaks, and the engine was re-built at the ( speedo reading of 24, 287). Installed new Kumho tyres front and rear with new 17 rims . The interior is all original except for the new floor carpet which was replaced. I installed the rear wing in 1983
I have kept this Pantera , Well maintained through the years !!!!!
