My uncle, a long time collector and mechanic for 65 years, has decided to sell his 1918 Republic Model B, truck, which was made in Alma, Michigan. This truck was restored in 1980 and is in good running condition, the gas headlights & tail light work. Because of infrequent use, a separate 2 gallon gas tank was installed under the hood, which can be removed and then use the original tank if you want. The original gas tank is still in good usable condition with no rust. My uncle said they used good galvanizing back then.According to a person from Alma, Michigan, home of the Republic museum, this is one of the most complete trucks with OEM equipment he has seen. This truck will start any day of the year with just a couple of cranks.
Republic Motor Truck Company was one of the major supplier’s of trucks used by American troops during World War I, hauling all types of military supplies This Model B is unique in looks compared to other old IH International and Ford trucks of that time period. Basically, a motorized Conestoga wagon.
A personal inspection is welcome, but if you would like additional information and or pictures please let me know. If I can’t help you I will put you in contact with my Uncle, he knows everything down to the last nut & bolt on that truck
If you don’t mind the wind in your hair & bugs in your teeth, you could drive it home. If not, there are many shipping options.
Guaranteed you won’t be disappointed.
