This is a nice pair of original paint IN "12 license plates. From 1905 through 1912, Indiana motorists were required to provide their own license plates, bearing the registration number issued by the State. Although professionally fabricated plates could be purchased from from the state, they were not issued or required. Vehicle owners could provide their own plates. This pair is an example of owner provided plates, and the number was issued in 1912. Scroll down to view the enlarged image. Grades G/G by ALPCA and MLPCA standards.
