I came across a bunch of old Iowa license plates and I am going to sell them off. This plate is from Delaware County, Iowa ( # 28 ) and is from 1953. The plate is white with black lettering. There is a 1955 tag over top of the 1953 date. It is the yearly update instead of issuing a new plate. It would be easily taken off or leave it on.The plate is in good condition, some signs of age, wear and use. Some light rust as well as this is a steel plate. This year had the wording at the bottom of the plate, The Corn State It has been hanging on the inside of a shed for many many years. This would be a great addition to any collection, perhaps you have a vintage 1953-55 car? Born in 1953 or 55? Married in 1953 or 55? Parents anniversary in 1953 or 55?
