You are bidding on an EXCELLENT, vintage 1965 SOUTH CAROLINA license plate! Medium-weight tag has a bright white base with jet-black lettering and rims. 100% ORIGINAL, with NO TOUCH-UPS (no added paint). Still SUPERB gloss and nice brightness on the paint, which is tough to find on older South Carolina plates--the Palmetto State is notoriously difficult for locating older tags. F prefix denotes passenger plate for vehicle weighing between 4001 and 4500 pounds.
Plate is STRAIGHT and lies FLAT, with NO bends, NO extra holes, and almost NO surface rust. A few stubborn tiny flecks of surface rust remain, but could likely be cleaned away if buyer desires. Most of paint loss (scattered tiny chips) is due to cleaned-off minor rust. Metal remains completely SOLID, and paint is strong. Displays very nicely on your early "60s auto or your den, garage, restaurant or man-cave wall--still in great shape and a full 50 years old!
