1973 1970s New York Orange License Plate PAIR Early Six-Digit VG Plus Nice!! YOM

“Very Good Plus”

These orange base New York license plates were used from 1973 to 1986. However, most of them you will find today have seven digits. The pair you are looking at is the earlier, older version, consisting of six digits.I am not exactly sure when the NY DMV used up all six digit combinations, and had to graduate to seven, but I do remember that I registered my very first car in January of 1979. (It was a 1963 Mercury Meteor, and I paid only 20 bucks for it!)My orange plates were six digits. However, later in that same year, my brother registered a car, and he received an early seven digit combination in the AAN series.Do you own a vintage car in New York from 1973 to 1979? Then you should display genuine 1970s SIX DIGIT plates on it...not a seven digit number from 1980 to 1986.This pair happens to be in outstanding, Very Good Plus condition, and they still display surface gloss. There are a few very minor imperfections, so please see the close-up photo for detail. Priority Mail shipping is a low $4.99 in the US.YES, we combine shipping costs!
