Up for sale is a North Carolina Nags Head Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem City / Tax License Plate Tag topper from the OBX. The term Pro Tem is short for Pro Tempore, and is used when there is not a position of Vice Mayor, and basically means the person that assumes the position of the Mayor when the actual Mayor is absence, usually a Councilman. These are used, but in very good condition. They have some scuffs, scratches, and dings, and both have some top bolt hole wear, but nothing major. There is a stray paint mark between North and Carolina on the Mayor tag, but this appears to be a factory error. Almost no embossed plate lays completely flat, but the Pro Tem topper is very close. The Mayor tag does have a warp from the manufacturing process (see pictures). The small holes are also supposed to be on top, so the Mayor tag was made upside down, but maybe this was done on purpose to allow more room for the full year date?
