Offered here is a matched set of vintage, tin or steel, automobile / vehicle license plates, from the state of Texas. BOTH plates are embossed: TEXAS - 61...CJ-1403. Each measures 12 by 6 inches. They are in VERY GOOD condition. (Grading can be subjective. Please read the entire description, look at the pictures, and grade for yourself.) The paint appears to be 100% ORIGINAL, and is mostly clean on BOTH plates. As is often the case, one is a bit nicer than the other. It looks like one of them was slightly bent just over & under the embossed black letters / numbers. This has left a visible crease, on the surface of the plate, about 1 & 1/4 inch from the bottom edge. On the same plate there are a few rust specks in the black paint of the number 0. Not too bad, but needs to be mentioned. The other plate has a ding and some small, but deep, scratches in (and under) the letter J. Both have a hint of paint wear & rust near the edges. For the most part, they are very nice. They are guaranteed to be old & original, and you may return for a refund, if you are not satisfied for ANY reason. Any questions at all? Please let me know!
