for sale

Price: US $25,000.00

Description:

Up for sale is my 1971 Plymouth Cuda, BS23H1B, this car is restored and in excellent condition. This was a documented California car, so there is no rust anywhere ever. I've owned this car for 11 years now, I bought it from the guy who did the restoration. Since then I have added many NOS parts including, the tail lights, the front turn signal housings and lenses, the fender gills, rocker panel moldings, dash pad, headliner. This is a very nice driver that shows very well. It is not a show car, it is not a trailer queen, this car was built to be driven. Having said that I've only put maybe 100 miles on the car in the 11 years that I've owned it, I work almost every day in the summer and never really had time to use and enjoy this car. The original numbers matching 340 4 barrel has been completely rebuilt, it has a full set of the March aluminum pullys, a chrome plated timing chain cover, a chrome alternator, it has electronic ignition (some of the early 71's still used dual points distributor) the heads have been machined and have hardened and ground steel valve seats installed so that it can run on unleaded gas, I use premium 93 octane because this is a 10.5 to 1 compression ratio motor. It'll run on regular but she runs better on premium. The motor runs strong and sounds awesome. The interior has a new carpet, new front seat covers (legendary), new headliner, all of the interior panels are in excellent condition with no speaker holes or scratches or dry rot. The rear seat is the original seat that came with the car. There is one small tear on the rear bench that I did myself when I was kneeling on it to clean the rear window. It has the original build sheet, fender tag, numbers matching 727 automatic, 340 engine, original Carb, rear end, the door jam sticker, dashboard and cowl are all numbers matching. I couldn't find the # on the radiator support, I don't know if the radiator support had been changed at any point or if it was stamped in an area that is not visible. The engine runs strong and sounds great. The original carter thermoquad probably needs to be rebuilt because it's been pretty much just sitting in my garage, sometimes after its been sitting for a while it needs to be primed with a little bit of gas, and then she fires right up. The car has a ralley dash which was not original, the car came originally with the standard dash, all of the gages work except the tach, I don't know what is wrong with it as I never had time to diagnose it, and I don't have the original dash. I was told by the previous owner that the wiring harness had to be changed to accommodate the ralley dash. The paint is very nice with a very high luster, there are no dents, no scratches, absolutely NO RUST EVER!! It is a dark blue with a lot of metal flake, the paint looks almost like a dark purple in the sunlight. I was told that it is a GM color but that is all I know. The grill looks like it was originally the silver argent finish and it was painted over in the blue. There is a small area where the paint is chipped in the very center of the grill. There are no visible cracks the grill and all of its parts are in excellent condition. The car is a four wheel manual drum brake car. It has 14 rally wheels, power steering with the optional TA close ratio steering box, and I think it's a 3.23 open 8 3/4 rear. The billboard stripes are also not original. A non refundable $1, 000 deposit via credit card is due at auction end, balance can be paid when the vehicle is picked up either with cash or a bank check. It's getting harder and harder to find a numbers matching cars, this car is investment grade, it has won trophies at several local car shows. If you have any questions or if you would like to schedule a time to come and look at the car you can call me anytime up till midnight est. Dave, 973-600-1675, or if you would like I can email you more pics . I have a ton of documentation about the car, receipts, copy of the original CA title, pictures of the car before it was restored. The bottom of the car was under coated and is very clean and rust free. The engine compartment, all door jams and under the hood and trunk have all been painted so there is no sign of the original chestnut brown color. I do not have a spare tire or wheel for the car but the original is jack is in the trunk. The front windshield is new, there are some scratches on the driver side window. I strongly recommend that you (or an agent for you) come to look at the car before bidding. A wining bid is not an agreement to come look at the car and then decide whether you want it, it is an agreement to buy. The car did also come with road lamps, the switch and wiring are in place but it had reproduction lamps I have removed with the intention of replacing them with originals, I will look and see if I still have the repops . There is no guarantee on this car, the car is for sale as is where is. I do have the car listed for sale locally so I reserve the right to cancel all bids and end the auction if it sells locally. Shipping is the buyers responsibility, I can assist the driver if you are having it towed but the shipping and the shipping cost is the buyers responsibility. There are several companies that specialize in shipping vintage/antique autos. It's your call if you want it shipped enclosed or on an open trailer. Full payment must be made before the car ships. The reserve is very reasonable and is considerably below the nada book value. Being a northeast guy I'm used to seeing cars with extensive rust and rust repair. This is one of the cleanest 44 year old cars that I have ever seen. I'm losing my storage and I need to trim down my collection. This is your opportunity to own a rust free numbers matching 1971 Plymouth Cuda, one of the most sought after muscle cars of all time. Don't miss this opportunity as #'s matching cars are few and far between, and the cost is making them almost out of reach for most. Check out my feedback, 100% positive, I would never miss represent anything I list for auction. If you have 0 or very low feedback please call me before bidding. Please don't ask what the reserve is. No I'm not interested in any type of trade. Like I said any questions please don't hesitate to call me, Dave 973-600-1675, the car is located in north west New Jersey. I know that it says I accept PayPal but not on this auction please, good luck!
