For sale, an Absolutely Gorgeous, Plymouth with only 59, 560 miles on it ! (believed to be original)
This 1941 Plymouth Business Coupe was a purchased as a rust free survivor car, with low miles and in incredible condition. A survivor car, being it had the original paint, original interior, chrome, stainless, wheels, heck it even had the original spare that was never on the car. After showing it as a survivor car, in All Original categories, where the car won everything it entered, the owner who was in his early 70s decided to do a full restoration of the car. The car underwent a high end restoration with no expenses spared. The engines internals were upgraded to the later model 230 ci Plymouth , increasing the horsepower considerably and all mechanicals where brought back to new condition. Big $ New Old Stock parts were used and for a 1941, that took him a great deal of time, energy and money.
The pictures will provide you will a good idea of its condition. Once the car was restored, he showed the car and won pretty much every show it was entered in to.
The car has been driven less than 250 miles since its restoration. It is no longer a 100 point, trailer queen as there are some minor stone chips which have been fixed with touch up paint. You would have to be extremely close to even notice. It does have all the big dollar chrome, stainless, interior, drive train all done and like new.
The car was kept in heated and air conditioned garage in Missouri, until the owner fell ill and sold me the car. It was moved to PA where it was placed in heated storage. My intention was for the transmission to be upgraded to a 1940 overdrive, which was available as a dealer option in the day. The overdrive was never installed and has now been sold, although the buyer will have an option to buy a vintage overdrive, completely rebuilt by the master of the overdrives -George Asche.George always has a long waiting list for overdrives, now in his mid-80s, this is a rare chance to jump the line for an overdrive.
The car has a clear Missouri title, and I will also offer to have it imported and titled in Ontario Canada at no additional cost to the new buyer. If the car is bought and paid for we will provide storage for a month or so to allow the new buyer to arrange shipping.
This is without question the finest 1941 Plymouth Business Coupe available for sale anywhere. The person who wants this car, will want what no one else has and wants to buy a car with all the hard and expensive work already done. You can get in, turn the key and drive down the road. Just get ready to turn heads and answer the question is it for sale, or wow this car looks like its brand new, as you clean up on the show circuit.
You just simple will not find a nicer example. Personally, I wouldn't be afraid to get in this car, and drive it coast to coast.
The car is priced at a fraction of what the previous owner had into the car, and is substantially less than what I have in the car. Personal issues forces the sale of the car. If you have always wanted a high end Plymouth business coupe, this is your chance to get the best of the best.! It is for sale locally and this auction maybe closed without notice should it sell locally.
