Pontiac Firebird (1969)
for sale

Price: US $1,125.00
I'm selling my 69 Pontiac Firebird. I've owned this car since 2001 and I'm selling because I recently got Married and I need money for a down payment on a house.
This car has been mostly rebuilt. I had the car re-wired, the Pontiac 400 motor was rebuilt with a Comp Cams Camshaft, an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, a rebuilt quadrajet carburetor, a new radiator, rebuilt TH 400 automatic transmission with new torque converter and a shift kit, and rebuilt the original rear end with new 3:18 gears * originally it had 4:11 gears. The exhaust system is all brand new and is setup and ready for headers without needing to make any changes.
The suspension has been completely rebuilt with new poly urethane bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, idler arm, new front coil springs, new rear leaf springs and new body bushings. It has a new quick turning ratio steering gear box. The BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires still have a ton of miles on them. This car handles like a race car!!
The upholstery has been redone with new cushions and vinyl. The door panels are brand new, and the weatherstripping all around is new. All the glass is in perfect condition.
The car is ready for paint and a little bit of body work to be a brand new car. There is a little bit of rust over the wheel wells and in the quarters as well as a tiny bit starting in the lower passenger side fender. There is a little body filler cracking in the section between the driver door and the wheel well. The floors are all solid in the car and have been treated with POR 15 to keep them solid, the trunk floor does have a little bit of rust but it is solid and I have a completely new trunk floor that goes with the car.
The 69 Firebird is a one year only car and many of the pieces to the car are not reproduced and I've worked very hard to find them. I have a nice original (not reproduction) dash with wood grain for the car that goes with it as well as new heater control cables and a new printed circuit.
This car is a great daily driver, everything works on it and will get 18 miles per gallon if you can keep your foot out of it. This car is a ton of fun, looks good and will throw you back in the seat and I always get lots of compliments and rubber necking when I drive it around town. We took the car to the Wells Fun Run last year and it ran great the entire way with no overheating issues and no need for repairs.
The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if the car sells locally. Happy bidding.

“Nice car, that only needs a little touching up on the paint and body work. The floors are solid, it does have the typical rust above the wheel wells and in the quarters and a little in the lower passenger side fender. This car is by no means a rust bucket!” |
