Up for sale is a 1985.5 Porsche 944. Car runs great! A lot of maintenance and parts were replaced by previous owner. All belts, including timing belt, and rollers were replaced 5, 000 miles ago. New waterpump was installed at the time along with new spark plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, thermostat and new tires. I have receipts for the above items. Short throw shifter was installed which makes shifting gears easy. The previous owner spent about $3, 000 in maintenance that is necessary for a Porsche 944. The odometer does not currently work. A common problem with Porsche 944s. The previous owner used an app on his IPhone to track the mileage. I have kept track of the mileage since I have owned the car. I bought the car on January 4th, 2016.
Interior wise the dash does have some cracks. The passenger side seat does have a tear in the seat area. Power windows work good. Alpine CD stereo with Bluetooth works good. The sunroof currently does not open. I believe the switch needs to be replaced. The sunroof switch was on my list to replace.
Clutch is good. Gears shift good. All brake pads were replaced 5, 000 miles ago. Fuchs wheels are in great shape with no rash or discoloration of center caps. Brad Penn oil has been used in this car because it has high levels of Zinc, which is important for 944 engines.
The color of the car is brown, or Mahogany Metallic as Porsche called it. The hood does have some dings from a previous hail storm. I have not taken the car to a Paintless Dent Repair shop yet. It might be cheaper to buy a hood and have it painted to match the rest of the car. The car still looks great! Especially for a 31 year old Porsche 944! Please email me with any questions. Update: I have more photos available. Photos of the interior, engine compartment, etc. The photos are larger than what Ebay allows to be posted on the site. I will try to resize the photos to meet the Ebay guidelines and post them. I also notice after I listed the car, the AutoCheck report shows the car having a rebuilt/salvage title. To my knowledge the car was never in a wreck. The Alabama title I have does not indicate this car as a salvage/rebuilt. I am a little confused by this. The car is mechanically sound with no issues other than the hood having hail dings.
