Up for auction is a 1932 Ford Phaeton, Model-A kit car manufactured by Classic Industries and built and assembled in 1972 . Cosmetically this car could be considered to be in fair condition. The car has a few minor scratches to the paint, which are consistent with its age. But as you can see from the pictures, she cleans up nicely. The seats show their age, with mild fading and some of the vinyl beginning to crack. The vinyl top needs to be replaced or repaired -- there are two large holes in the back corners of the convertible top. Mechanically, the car could be considered to be in good to excellent condition. The car starts and runs beautifully. It glides through the gears smoothly and stops on a dime. The ride is smooth and comfortable; it tracks straight even at highway speeds.
This car was anonymously donated to the Boerne Volunteer Fire Department to assist it in protecting the people and property of Kendall County, Texas. So, the BVFD is not familiar with its history before coming to the department. But in October 2013, the previous owner had the complete car overhauled by KB Speed & Customs where it performed more than $6, 600 worth of repairs and maintenance. The department has the paperwork from the overhaul and will supply it to the new owner at transfer. The vehicle has no liens against it and will transfer with clear title.
