Mechanic Owned 2002 Saab 9-5 Aero, in Cosmic Blue! I am the technical second owner, as the first owner had it as a company lease vehicle, and he bought it when that term was over. It's very well taken of, and has had plenty of maintenance done in recent history
117k miles as of today, still a daily driver with ~250 miles every 2-3 weeks.
Oil changes every 2-4k with Mobil 1 0w40 w/oversized Ford Motorcraft FL400S oil filter
New DIC @112k w/ new NGK PFR7H10 spark plugs
Head replaced with one from a 2006 9-5 Aero w/98k @116k (broken bolt in head, head did not fail)
T5 Camshafts from 1999 9-3 installed, more top end power than B235R cams that came with the car
PCV #6 upgrade, genuine Saab instead of knockoff unit
Short belt with new idler pulley @112k
All seals replaced between 112-116k (Head/Intake/Exhaust/Valve Cover/Cam Plug/Oil Pump/Crank Seal/Timing Chain Tensioner/Oil Pressure Switch)
Fresh Coolant when head was replaced
Replaced front brake pads & rotors @116k, Centric Rotors & Akebono Euro pads
Sitting on Gary Fisher wheels with Bridgestone RE760 tires, quiet tires but very grippy!
D1S HID headlight bulbs replaced just over a year ago w/OEM Osram bulbs, should have another 2 or so left in them.
Gearbox oil filled with Redline MTL @114k
Replaced typical falling apart 9-5 shift knob with one from a Viggen.
BBA Reman on the SID, carries a lifetime warranty if ever to fail.
BlueSaab AUX connection, basically this custom unit goes in place of the CD Change to give the vehicle native AUX input (NO FM tuner/modulator!).
Previous owner replaced all shocks & struts with KYB units prior to sale.
