When you purchase a Shelby aluminum body and chassis from Shelby America it comes with almost nothing in it for 148, 000 plus tax and shipping. We have heard it could take a year to get one built and they are built by Kirkham not Shelby , This one is a real Shelby and it just needs a motor and tranny to have everything to complete the car .You can get motor and tranny from Billy andrews when you need to finish this car. This car was to be the prototype for the AC, Iconic cobra that was the brain child of Claudio Ballard and was to be a very special car that's why so much time was invested in this car. Then somewere along the build they chanced direction of that AC Iconic roadster with a all new chassis and body .So this car was put to the side. This is one of the earliest cars built from Shelby. Big block cars started at # 4000 so this is the 23rd car of the line. HRE was the company that started the build. This car is painted Blue with black stripe's, but if you don't like the color we can paint it again any color you like. It has custom brakes and suspension, also oversized flares and custom wheels, carbon fiber foot boxes and firewall and the rear wall behind the seat's carbon fiber. Custom 42gal fuel tank is also in the car. and more.
There is about 500 hours of labor making the body and chassis the way he wanted oversize flare's and no weld seam's . All the work was done at Motion Performance auto body in bayshore N.Y. the chassis was painted and the time on the body was spent building the big flares front and back . This car has a great stance with one of the widest set flares front and back I have ever seen, this car is a piece of art. Like I said this is a very early cobra and a lot of extra time has gone into this car between the fender flares and the chassis weld's, it is one of a kind.
