1951 Studebaker Champion bullet nose 4 door w/suicide doors. CAR IS 64 YEARS OLD AND WILL NEED A TOTAL RESTORATION TO BE A NICE SHOW CAR!!! FIRST THE POSITIVE: Clear Montana title- 49, 000 actual miles- The exterior steel body of this car is very solid and straight- no major dents or rust. Grey primer to protect metal- (will need a professional strip & finish). Curved rear glass is nice, all other glass is present but is chipped or cracked. Engine and transmission have been gone through and rebuilt by previous owner and operate very well. You will appreciate how well the engine and drive train function when you drive the car. Car starts well , shifts well and drives well- overdrive transmission functions well in overdrive. Strong solid brakes/ parking brake works. Dash is in good condition- has not been cannibalized or cut up- all dash glass is nice- all gages work. Front doors, trunk and glove compartment lock with key- key is present. Lower front chrome grills are very nice- Chrome and plastic bullet will need replaced (see photos). Car has new tires, battery, fuel pump, shocks, I have the front bumper and shroud piece (they are nice and can easily be re-attached) ITEMS THAT WILL NEED ATTENTION: There are some minor dings on the car- a three inch one on the front of the hood on the drivers side and some small ones by the drivers door handle- they are difficult to see unless the car is wet. Also some miner body rust just ahead of the rear wheel wells where these cars typically have issues. (see photos). The worst rust through is on the front driver floor and passenger floor and the floor of the trunk- some rust through but repairable. (see photos). The interior on this car is completely shot! there is nothing made of cloth that is salvageable. I use an old canvas sleeping bag as the front seat cover- All seat springs are good- headliner is gone steel bows are in the trunk (that was a dirty job), interior door and cabin panels are in tatters. All door handles and knobs are intact. All things considered, this is a very solid and complete car to restore or restomod. As I stated above, the car runs and drives but I don't recomend driving the car a long distance in it's present state-trailering would be the safe bet! AS ALWAYS, MY LISTING PRICE IS MY RESERVE--ONCE MET THE CAR WILL SELL! I have a 100% feedback rating and intend to keep it. Only bid if you are willing to pay for it and transport it! Car is located in Miles City, Montana (near Billings). $1000.00 paypal deposit required within 48 hours of auction- balance due upon transfer of vehicle and title. Thanks!
