This is a 1962 Studebaker Gran Turismo (GT) Hawk.
It has a V8 engine, automatic transmission, and a 4-barrel Holley with
manual choke operation
. It's in fair condition..it was driven on the roads up until 2013/2014. New water pump + coolant put in it April 2015.
The engine runs great and drives great, although the potential Buyer should be familiar with manual choke operations!
Wipers, heater blower motor, brake lights, headlights, & turning lights work. Brand new exhaust pipe + muffler installed from the engine all the way till the rear of the vehicle.Valve covers re-sealed + painted, including the air intake manifold underneath the carburetor.
It's has 31, 255 miles on it.
The paint is chipped in a several places. The interior is in good condition, except towards rear windshield, where the top of the seat is torn a little. The headliner is in very good condition. The chrome is in fair condition, with a few pittings on the headlight chrome shrouds.
Current issues that I am aware of:
- the rear driver's side suspension has a slight sag...about 0.5 inch - 1 inch lower than the rear passenger side.
- the wood finish on the dash area is peeling up - a few small scratch marks on the upper region of the rear windshield- missing the driver's side front decorative 'fin' behind the headlight chrome shroud
- there is rust towards the trunk area of the vehicle and areas of surface rust underneath the rear of the vehicle.- the exterior paint is chipped in a several regions, mainly around the 'edges' of the body...also, right above the directional indicator lights. . next to the radiator.
The car is road worthy...it was driven on the city roads in late 2013. Sat in storage since then...with occasional warm-ups and small drives around the property. It's been several years since it was on the highways. .and therefore I do not know how the vehicle would behave or if any issues would pop up on the highways.
Does not come with battery. It is located in South Bend, Indiana. Clean and in order paperwork.

Buyer is responsible for Vehicle pickup.
Potential buyer will be required to sign with me a legally binding Bill of Sale document. This Bill of Sale will additionally act as a receipt for BMV records and contains certain terms and conditions: no refund, the vehicle is sold 'as-is', and whoever buys it will be responsible for whatever happens with the Vehicle after taking it away from my property!
