For sale is my beloved 2002 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX. This car runs great for having 193K on it. This was my daily driver until two months ago when I was forced to by a pick-up truck for work. This car has been my pride and joy for the last 6 years and I am sad to let it go, but it is time to pass it on to someone who can upkeep it and give it the drive time it deserves.
THE NEGATIVE ABOUT THIS CAR: There are rust spots on both rear quarter panels, and your normal scratches, scuffs, and dings of a 13 year old car. The check engine light is currently on. The code can be attributed to the fact that the gas tank needs to be replaced. I have had multiple mechanics confirm this. The car does not leak gas (as in droplets coming straight out of the tank) but gas can be smelled throughout the interior of the car if the tank is filled all the way to full. I had only been filling up the tank halfway when I was driving it back and forth to work and it seemed to go away but I would highly recommend replacing the gas tank as soon as possible. There is also some curb rash under the left front fog light.
THE POSITIVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The turbo spools up great, the car has lots of power, mostly all highway miles, kept clean, premium sound system with Ken Wood stereo, 2 - 12 Dual sub woofers with 580 watt amplifier. The power windows, doors, lights and all electronics work fine. The tires on the car are brand new Michelin primacy MX4s with under 10, 000 miles on them, and the alignment was also done when the tires were put on. The car handles great and turns on a dime. I am the 3rd owner of this car and it runs as great as the day I bought it with 100K on it. Everything on the car is original. If you are a SUBARU lover looking for that bug eye style, with the rally blue color that stands out like no other--then this is the car for you!! There aren't many left of this year, make, and color. With a little TLC this car could be perfect.
