Alright, hopefully the third time is the charm here! The last two times I listed this truck, either the buyer did not have money, or arrived here and bought another vehicle from me instead (not such a bad thing, since it was newer/ more expensive...) But please; if you bid, be prepared to pay for the truck at the end of the auction as per details here, or contact me before bidding. Best idea - If you want to buy the truck, call me to discuss as I reserve the right to end this auction at any time to sell, even if I have bids on it already.
zombiemotors.net - Call 503-810-4713 or visit my website for more pictures, or to make an offer (this Landcruiser will sell here this week) or for more details, or to see more European vehicles for sale. Before you bid, please read entire ad. By bidding or making an offer, you agree to the terms of my sale - namely you will pay $500 by paypal at end of auction/ when I accept your offer, and the balance is due, in full, within 5 days after that by bank transfer, check, cash in hand, etc. No paypal or credit cards for vehicle balance payment. Truck can be collected anytime after payment is made, and I can help you with arranging transportation if need be. Title will arrive in about 4 weeks, and will be mailed to you at that time. In the meantime, truck will come with a 3-week temporary registration permit so you can drive it.
Truck is for sale locally for $10, 500 - Which I think it will fetch pretty quickly. Maybe not? Auction is up with no reserve, so who knows? I do know this; If you are genuinely interested in buying this, call me to discuss. If you sit back to 'See how the auction goes' , you will not be the person buying this Landcruiser, I promise you. I have a great relationship with several shipping companies and can get this truck shipped to you if need be, or you do not want to fly out and drive it home yourself.
Ebay does not recognize Non-US VIN# so truck is posted as '1980' - Land Cruiser is really a 1990 Model Year. This is a common problem with the Ebay auto-lister...
LandCruiser is being sold with NO RESERVE, so bid to win! If you really want to buy this truck, you should call me as I reserve the right to end this auction at any time, even if the Toyota has bids on it.
I would not hesitate to hop in the landcruiser and drive anywhere right now. I have put about 1000 miles on this in the last 2 weeks without any issues at all -- Returning over 30MPG on the freeway and 25-ish in town. Zero leaks of any kind. Always starts right up, first try. Super reliable and will make a great family wagon/ adventure wagon - An old Landcruiser that is finally practical! Truck is RHD, automatic, electronic turbo-diesel, and is showing about 168, 000 KM which translates to about 106K miles. This will be going up a little as I drive the truck almost every day! The LJ78 is the long-wheelbase model , with full 3 row seating, the rear 2 rows can be flipped up easily out of the way for a big load space.
I just bought this Landcruiser for resale, and I must say I am having regrets - If I did not need the money for other business things, I would definitely be keeping it. Fun to drive, and great mileage. My wife likes driving it, too. Automatic transmission shifts perfectly, overdrive works as it should. All power things work (windows, locks, lumbar support on seats, mirrors, etc). TRUCK LOOKS GREAT. The only real cosmetic flaw is the hood has faded clear coat, as does the front of the roof (which you can not see anyway) - - Rest of truck really looks great. Of course, you can expect the occasional scratch or ding, but the overall impression is one of being a clean neat truck.
1990 Land Cruiser 'Prado' EX5 - The lighter-duty, friendlier Landcruiser with all the power options - Original engine and transmission, engine is the 2LT-E and it runs like a champ. Engine HAS been upgraded with the '3L' cylinder head to avoid any potential overheating problems, and recently the injection pump and injectors have been rebuilt, too - All to the tune of about $3400 - SO the truck is very reliable and ready to go anywhere now and give many years of service. Truck has 4- wheel disc brakes which pull it up to a stop without drama. Tires look great, and have a lot of tread. Frame/ body/ etc all have NO rust. If you crawl underneath and look around you will see surface rust on things (they are made of steel, after all) but none of it is anything other than surface rust.
As you can see this, truck is RHD - Right hand drive - which may not be for everyone. It took my wife about 4 minutes to get used to it though, and now she drives it a lot. Power sunroof works perfectly and does not leak. Seats are all very nice and all adjustments work, including the shock-absorber front 'bouncy' seats. Seats themselves are the Toyota top-of-the-line velour-suede seats and are all in very good condition.
THE THINGS I KNOW DO NOT WORK : A/C does not blow ice cold - needs a charge, I bet. I can do this for you if you like, will cost about $300. There is a switch for 'Sport/ Normal' shock absorber settings, and this switch does not light up, so I assume it is not working. Truck drives and rides great, and this seems a little gimmicky to me anyway.. so I have not looked into it at all. At speeds above about 45MPH, there is a light 'whirring' coming from the rear differential, previous owner told me it has been doing this for about 50, 000 KM without getting any worse. It is present when you step on the accelerator, and silent when you are coasting, which leads me to believe it is the rear differential carrier bearing. Easy enough and cheap enough to replace, but as it is not affecting anything right now, and not getting worse, I would not bother with it. Noise is not very loud , you have to listen for it. A few very small cracks beginning on the dash.
Other than this. . Everything else works and looks great.
Legally imported and all paperwork filed with DMV - Title to arrive in about 4 weeks, and clear Oregon title is guaranteed.
I am a licensed and bonded auto dealer here in Oregon, and have been importing cars and engine kits from Europe & Canada for several years now - Check my feedback and bid with confidence. Tuck is with me now in Portland, Oregon and I guarantee clear Oregon title for this vehicle.

THIS LANDCRUISER HAS NO RUST AT ALL, and is a different category of vehicle altogether from all the other 70-Series Landcruisers that come up for sale here. This is actually a very nice, clean, livable every-day truck, many of the parts are shared with Toyotas of the same vintage to parts are easy enough to come by, even locally. Anything hard to get will come from Canada with shipping - These were very popular trucks everywhere else in the world so there is a very active and economical parts supply.
