Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this attractive TR4A Convertible with the solid axle set up. This car was recently purchased from it's longtime Tennessee owner who enjoyed it immensely and took very good care of it.
The car received a very nice cosmetic restoration in the past and is still presenting well today.
The body on this car appears completely accident-free. The paintwork is shiny and glossy, but upon close inspection (within a few feet) it reveals some fine micro-blistering in some areas, typical with modest repaints. However, it presents well overall and has mellowed nicely which is consistent with the rest of the car.
This car is mechanically good like most robust Triumph drivetrains. It starts easily on the key with little choke, revs and idles well with good oil pressure, no smoke or noises, and goes happily down the road. The 4-speed full-syncro gearbox shifts well, clutch action is good, and it steers, handles, rides and stops properly. All the fluids are clean and up to the mark. The twin exhaust system looks like a fairly new unit. The wheels and tires are in good condition with plenty of tread. It has the sensible upgrades of a high-torque starter and spin-on oil filter.
The interior trim is in good condition with very nice seats trimmed in black vinyl piped white, which matches the top boot. All of the dashboard pads were replaced during it's restoration. The wooden dash facia is attractive but has some checking in the lacquer finish. It is fitted with a very purposeful smaller wheel which would accommodate taller drivers. The six instruments all function properly and the electrical system seems to be in fine shape. The replacement top fits well. The car retains all of its original glass in good shape. The chromework has mostly been replated is still looks great. The body rubber/gaskets were also renewed and are very nice.
Overall, this TR4A is a very nice driver and should be enjoyed as is going forward. It offers very good value when compared to current project cars and their restoration costs. This car is ready to use right away and provides a great 60's motoring experience for a modest investment.

Title Information
: Vehicles titles may be held by banks or lenders as collateral for loans. In many cases there is a delay in receiving the original instruments up to 21 days from the time we pay a vehicle off. While we usually have all titles in our possession at closing, there are occasions where we may be waiting for them to arrive. If payment is made by cashier's or personal checks we will hold all titles for 10 days or until funds have cleared.
