Description:

The first 4 photos of TS31843L are of the car running following the three year restoration about 2008. A non matching numbers the car was built to driver quality and is not a show car... then again I was never embarrassed at shows. I drove the car for three seasons when I decided to install a full syncro, non-overdrive TR4 transmission I had on hand. I also decided to respray the car paying more attention to fit and finish. The left rear fender I used was badly crumpled and the repair required too much filler. A repairable fender is included. That's as far as I got and I have now realized that I will never be able to complete the work. I just hung the fenders, doors boot and bonnet lids on for this auction. The tub is still firmly attached to the frame. Everything has accumulated quite a bit of dust and spider webs.
Since I have had the car the frame and all suspension components were media blasted, rust converted, coated with POR 15 and reassembled with all new bushings. All hydraulics were rebuilt. The car comes with five 60 spoke factory wheels fitted with new Mastercraft tires. A 48 spoke spare and old tire that holds air (and fits in the compartment) is included. As you can see I used a smallmouth front apron. The short block was rebuilt with new rings, main and rod bearings. The radiator was re-cored. The SUs were professionally rebuilt. An electric fuel pump was added and a pertronix ignition installed. New water pump/thermostat. Converted to positive ground with self regulating alternator. The body tub had been repaired when I got it and I don't know when. The inner front fenders show signs of damage the the left rear had been struck at sometime. The only thing I had to do was repair the doglegs which I did with clean metal then filler. And I used the original inner sills with new metal outer sills welded in. Bare metal with primer and single stage burgundy metallic finish. An unopened gallon of this paint is included. The entire undercarriage was scraped and coated with POR 15. The floorboards were repaired not replaced. New windshield. New top and all new fasteners. The tonneau cover is useable but has a strip of hook and eye for a zipper. The side curtains are serviceable. The front bumper is from a TR4 but has good chrome. New bonnet and boot hinges and new fender beading. The interior was done in house. The seat bottoms are high density foam not springs. I have a set of domed gauges that were working when tested... they are included. To the best of my knowledge all the car needs is put back together.
Please contact me with any questions about the car. Look at the photos carefully and I strongly recommend personal inspection if possible.
