The Triumph has been garage stored and used sparingly for many years. It had undergone a repaint in the original factory color approximately 25 years ago and looks absolutely fantastic. Being sold due to an unexpected car opportunity that I cannot pass up.
Under the hood the Triumph is pretty much all original down to the original air filter. It has a newer battery with no issues with the charging system. The engine starts easily at the turn of the key. The engine doesn't have any smoking issues and the exhaust is quiet. Engine runs smoothly. The transmission shifts fine in all gears, and the clutch works fine including the hydraulics. The Factory Overdrive does not work and the solenoid is suspect. Since it was only driven around town, it was never an issue. Brakes work fine including the emergency brake. Has upgraded electronic ignition for reliable starting. Has new water pump and coolant hoses.
The interior is in excellent condition as shown in the pictures. Door panels in good condition as well as the carpet. Both seats in very nice condition with some minor wear on the driver's side seat bolster. Jump seat area in nice condition as well. All gauges work properly as do the lights, blinkers & heater fan. Wipers are in-op and are disconnected. Radio works fine.
The Body is in excellent condition as shown in the pictures. Paint has an excellent shine and presents very nicely. There are a few misc. paint chips that would be expected for a vintage car. The only rust I can find is a very small blister at the bottom of the driver's side front fender and also a small spot in the passenger side wheel. I will include pictures of both spots. Both rocker panels in excellent shape as well as the underside/floor pans. There are no stone chips on the nose or lower portion of the car since it was only driven on short drives and never saw freeway driving. The factory hard top is in very nice condition as well as shown in the pictures. Fitted with factory luggage rack.
Original factory wheels and trim rings in fantastic condition. Tires are matched set with good tread. Includes factory spare and jack kit.
Convertible top is in excellent condition and fits perfectly. All snaps work properly. Rear window is in excellent condition and also has the Zip out feature on the center section of the window. This is a great feature for very hot days. Always stored with the top up. Convertible top frame in good condition and operates properly. Includes convertible top boot to cover the soft top when it is down.
The Triumph is being sold in as is condition with no warranty expressed or implied. I cannot be held responsible for any errors or inaccuracies that may have been inadvertently been provided.
