Here is a 1976 Triumph Spitfire 1500. We restored this car in our shop about 10 years ago. Since that time, the owner has only driven it 7230 miles. It has been garage stored and covered during that time. There is no rust to our knowledge, the paint is very nice, and the interior still gives a nice appearance. The carpet is not perfect, but still very nice. The convertible top has one repair (the size of a dime), windows clear and still very useable. The engine runs great. It has a standard crankshaft and was completely rebuilt when we did the car. Transmission was also rebuilt at that time, and a new clutch installed. Drivetrain and suspension are very solid, no clunks or vibrations. A great fun-to-drive car. We consider the '76 model to be the best of the 1500 Spitfires, the last year with a manual choke and without a catalytic converter. Take a look at the pictures, and feel free to ask any questions. Please note that we make no claim as to the total mileage, only the fact that is has been driven 7230 miles since a complete restoration.
