You are viewing a 1979 Triumph Spitfire. It looks great in the photos, but you will want to restore this British Sports car. The 1500CC motor runs nice, but we never drove the car. It was purchased as a father son restoration project, but my son shifted his focus to a 4x4 truck. The body needs rust repair in the outer rockers, hood, and front fender, and around the windshield, also going to need a windshield gasket. The car is otherwise very solid, the floors, trunk & Frame are nice. The car was obviously painted blue quite some time ago, but looks like the original color was white, paint. The was sitting but it started right up yesterday and runs strong. The brakes need to be gone through as the pedal is spongy and low. Assuming it will need both master cyl and clutch cyl. rebuilt. The top is dry and ripped, it will need replacing. We see them on ebay for $275. The interior is dry and the wood dash is weathered, with baby blue seats. The trunk luggage rack in perfect. The big bumper guards should be removed or replace, they are also dry and deformed.
This car is a restoration project, so please do not ask if you can drive it home 1000 miles. Yes, with the mechanicals freshened up, and a new top, you could have a driver, but the car really needs a nice restoration. The Bonnet is upgraded from a GT6. The car is stored in Englewood Florida. As is the car needs to be picked up & transported at your expense.
