Triumph TR-6 (1974)
for sale

Price: US $1,000.00

Description:

1974 Triumph TR6 NO RESERVE! You are bidding on a very straight, rust free 1974 Triumph TR6. Greg saw that I was able to get $30, 500 for Bob’s TR250 on eBay earlier this month, so he asked me to auction off his TR! Greg’s Triumph has been nicely restored in its original color scheme of white paint with shadow blue interior. He has lavished over $8000 in parts and labor on this car since 2014. Some of the more noteworthy items are as follows: Convertible top; Large capacity gas tank; Windshield; VTO mag wheels; Yokohama 205/70-15 Avid Touring tires; Rebuilt gearbox with new mounts; Gear reduction starter; Rear tube shock conversion; Clutch, pressure-plate, throw-out bearing, fork pin, pilot bushing, master & slave cylinders; Brake master cylinder, front and rear brake overhaul; Hoses, (all) and heater bulkhead connector; Poly steering rack mounts; Back-up hood release kit; Spin-on oil filter kit; Carburetor heat shield; Electric fuel pump and filter; Battery (this year); Fuse box, power outlet kit, windshield washer, oil pressure sender and voltage stabilizer; Pertronix electronic ignition module; Rebuilt distributor with premium cap; Lucas Sport coil, Bosch Platinum spark plugs, and new spark plug wires; Bullet mirrors; Dash top, dash board and switch plinth; Door panels, wind lacing and door caps; Interior carpet, visors, floor mats, poly driveshaft & transmission covers, and trunk liner; Seat belts, seat diaphragms, shifter boot and hand brake grip; The paint and body work was done by a previous owner and is quite presentable, with a minimum of imperfections. The interior is especially clean and tidy. The differential mounting brackets are intact, not loose or cracked, as is often the case. The mild steel exhaust is in good shape and delivers the pleasantly distinctive TR6 sound lacking in stainless steel systems sold today. The cool running engine starts easily and shuts off with no dieseling. Oil pressure is normal at 50psi when hot. The compression is normal at 130psi.The late model anti-smog devices have been removed from the engine. This Triumph runs and drives as good as it looks. Everything works! All this TR6 needs is a new front bumper and center bar for the rear bumper, both of which have unsightly dents. I have a line on these items (and an overdrive gearbox) locally, and they could be purchased separately after the auction.
