Description:

PERFECT OPPORTUNITY!! This little TR6 runs like a top! Coming in at under 48, 000 miles, and with a load of accessories and spare parts, this deal is as crazy as it gets! Recently rebuilt carbs, a fresh oil change, new battery, and choke cable means she starts right up and is ready to roll without any hassle. She may be British, but hailing from the Midwest, she's no dainty flower! You can hear her coming from a quarter mile away. This car commands attention wherever it goes. If you don't like people staring with their mouths open as you drive by, then this is not the car for you. BUT WAIT. There's more. When you buy this car, you will not only receive this glorious piece of British machinery, you will also get a large set of spare parts from a 1974 TR6. How about even more sugar for your tea? I'm throwing in a huge amount of accessories with this car as well!
By now you're probably trying to figure out why I'm selling this car. This TR6 was my Dad's. He bought it new in 1972 with his hard earned money as a 19 year old kid. Could've bought a Chevy or a Ford, but he really loved the character of a British sports car. He eventually had 3 girls and we all grew up riding in this car and had lots of good memories of cruising through the back country roads or whipping around the curves of the winding roads like we were part of some sort of rally race. He loved this car and when he passed away suddenly late last year, we all knew none of us could take care of it the way it deserves and the way he wanted. It needs someone that will really enjoy taking care of it and driving it. It is currently being stored indoors at a storage facility along with the parts and accessories. His original plan was to use the spare parts to fully restore the car. As you can see in the pictures, there are some small rust bubbles in a few spots. I took pictures of those the best I could, it's slightly difficult with the car being black. The frame also has some rust, that's why he had the spare frame painted and ready to go to be able to switch out, he just never got the chance.
The original color of the car is a dark blue, but the black is stunning and gets lots of compliments. The interior is in good shape. Leather seats are good, dash is great. Tires are like new. I have a clear title for both the running car and the parts. ** Please contact me if you would like specific pictures of something you don't see, or had any questions. I will do the best to answer them and I will be completely open. Because it was my Dad's car, I don't have knowledge of all the maintenance since 1972. I do have a list of things that were done several years ago (basic fluid changes, hose changes, etc) that can be provided if requested. All we've done to it since taking it over has been what I've listed above and it runs great.
ACCESSORIES WITH RUNNING TR6:
- white hard top - original - in good condition- soft leather convertible top - new - had one made in 2014 using old one for exact specifications, look, and fit (is currently on car)- front end bra (seen in pictures)- fender protector (with Triumph logo, for use when doing maintenance)- original maintenance book- Instruction repair manual- fabric car cover- leather passenger tonneau cover in good condition
SPARE PARTS FROM '74 TR6:
- engine and transmission (not seized)- painted frame (excellent, like new condition)- hood- 2 doors (one without window)- windshield- radiator- rear end assembly- A-arms- wheel beauty rings- misc electrical parts and gauges
** Sold in as-is condition. No warranty or refunds provided.
***Shipping arrangements will be made by buyer (local pickup or buyer shipping arranged) and should include a way to pick up parts. The engine/transmission and frame need multiple people to lift/move. The engine/transmission is currently mounted on a small cart with metal wheels, so it can be rolled somewhat, but there is no engine lift provided. Buyer will need to make sure that can be accommodated. Cash or PayPal can be accepted. US sales only, please. (I apologize to our friends across the pond.)
Is this car in mint condition? No. Does it throw you back in your seat when you take off? You bet the Queen's crown it does.
