For Sale, My 1965 Vert. I've had this 1965 VW Convertable for thirty five years now. I've always had it my way which is without a top, just a roll bar, a bikini top and a tauneou cover over the back seats. I'm 70 now and it's time to let someone else enjoy it and make it their way. The particulars: 1641 DP engine, 48, 112 mi., killer street transaxle, 9, 143 mi., rebuilt king pin/link pin front suspension, 11, 672 mi., 12 volt electrical system, several colors of red paint on the body, a lot of paint chips and a small amount of very small dents and some dirt. No rust through anywhere, there was a small amount on the package tray under the rear window and under the battery, but those places have been repaired with equivolent pieces from a rust free car. I pop riveted them in to allow the next owner to weld in if wanted. The top frame is in good condition with rust at the front where it attaches to the front wood. These front pieces are sold in aftermarket for about $35.00 each and have to be welded in. This car is solid and will drive anywhere. Over the years I seem to have misplaced the rear view mirror and the back seat, the part you sit on. These are, of course convertable specific parts. Please, ask questions, if you have any. If not, I will assume there are none and it is sold as is. I'm including 12 pictures, the last picture is the way I've always driven it, My Way, the rest of the pictures show the original convertable frame which includes the back window and a few other top parts.
