The car was purchased new in Palo Alto California according to the Maintenance Records. Somewhere along the way it moved to Tucson AZ. The entire car including the pan is solid and void of any signs of heavy rust. The floor pan including under the battery is solid. Part of this current project was to keep as much of the existing car in tact while making it 100% road worthy. The interior was removed and cleaned up. New carpet and headliner was installed. An entirely new wire harness was installed. Every electrical component works as it should. Note the new JVC Head unit and speakers. The rear window, windshield and quarter windows where removed. A new windshield was installed and all windows mentioned were reinstalled with new gaskets. The door glass is original.The windows roll up and down well. The doors have new gaskets as well. New brakes and brake lines front and rear have been installed. New tires mounted and balanced on vintage Empi rims. Solid driveline. The 1600cc engine and trans axle are now free of any leaks including the doghouse oil cooler. The engine is a crate 1600cc with Mexico AS 41 is stamped on the block. The engine has a mild build that sounds and performs above average. Note the electronic ignition. This is a very dependable daily driver. The car is really straight. There is no rust coming thru the paint, although, the paint has been buffed or worn thru in places throughout the body. Great patina look. All the time and money has been spent on making this a great car to drive and enjoy. Selling it to stat my next project. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Thanks
