Listing this very solid Type 1, has a 1971 engine. Transmission has about 75K on it.
This was a father/son restoration completed in 2009; New exhaust & heater boxes; running boards, carburetor; clutch, entire brake system except lines, fuel tank, headliner & all rust spots were welded up then. Put a $200 Maaco paint job on it with the expectation that he would hit something. He never did, so the paint's more protective than aesthetic. Heater channels are NOT rusted, son drove it through high school & part of college. Got him into a car with heat & A/C, so now this sits.
It needs to be driven and it needs a home. Solid & dependable. Everything works. Floors and heater channels are solid. Interior is perfect. Rubber floor mats, vinyl/fabric uphostery.
Windowsill rubbers are going.
