Thanks for looking. You are bidding on a 1961, Dual Treasure Chest Single Cab. The bus in in overall good shape and a good candidate for a full restore or to roll as as.
It has Front and Rear Safaris as well as the original motor and drive train (Single Port). The gates are in overall good shape with some surface rust, and the bottoms of the gates and the hinges are in good condition. The front doors are in very good shape do not have rust in the bottom. The treasure chest doors and deckled are also in good shape. It is a 1961, so there a little items here and there that will need to be addressed, but most of the trouble areas are good. The treasure chest area is one of the best I have seen with both dividers present. The bed is in good shape as well with no visible rust areas. The bumpers are OK, with the front being better than the rear. The front seat has been re-upholstered and the door cards and front kick panel as well.
The motor cranks up and runs great and the transmission shifts easily through all of the gears. This is a RUNNING DRIVING bus, with the brakes cylinders, shoes and soft lines having been replace in the last month. It has a new master cylinder and reservoir as well.
The outer nose in in good shape, but the inner nose does have rust. the front floor has been patched but is completely drivable as is. Inner rockers could be replace if you plan to restore and there are other areas(see pics) that need work if you want to make it perfect. Otherwise, you can drive it as as and do the work over time!
It needs some small items here and there, but overall is is a nice SC. I have new deckling and treasure chest hinges that are included. Has new tires with less than 1000 miles on them,
