This is a two owner car, which has been meticulously maintained with routine synthetic fluids and filter changes and schedule maintenance. It is rust-free and not been involved in any accidents. It has been a commuter car for two students, and most of the mileage is highway. It has the 2.0 L engine which VW has been using for decades. Tires are Cooper and have ~20, 000 miles on them. Brakes and rotors were replaced ~35, 000 miles ago.
Everything works on the car, except there are a few issues. The headliner is loose in rear and needs to be replaced. The transmission just recently stopped shifting into overdrive. Two engine codes (P0743, P0811) appear, both associated with the transmission. The car can be driven, however speed must be maintained below ~50 mph to keep the rpms within acceptable range. The car needs transmission work.
This will be a good car for somebody willing to make the investment to fix the transmission. The car is being sold as is with no warranty or returns. Pick up and viewing is in Warwick, MD. I will not ship. Send me a message if you desire to see and drive the car.
