For Sale: 2006 VW Jetta TDI Sedan – Platinum Gray
I’m selling a VW Jetta TDI sedan, 4 door, in Platinum Gray color. I bought this car about 3 years ago for commuting and using bio-diesel. This is a desirable year as these cars can use bio-diesel ( up to 99% ) without issue. Late model cars only recommend using B5 ( 5% ) bio-diesel or risk voiding their warranty.
This is a manual drive car, 5 speed. Great torque feel from the diesel engine.
Most of the miles that I put on are from commuting from Mountain View to San Francisco/Berkeley. I put on about 20K miles in the first year that I owned the car, and about 10K in the last two years.
This model includes the heated seats ( very nice on cold mornings! ). Even heated side mirrors.
If you are interested, please bring your mechanic and check it out.

o This was a design defect in these model cars. The metal on the camshaft was too soft. The original camshaft lasted almost 200K miles!

Full disclosure
· Was bumped in a parking lot on the front right ( see pictures ). It was only cosmetic damage that I chose not to fix.
· Front/Rear bumper were partially resprayed. You will notice a difference from about 5 feet away from the original paint
· Right rear door sill had some dubious body work. I rarely use that door and hasn’t bothered me in the last 3 years.
· Parking “kisses” on the front/rear bumper from being used in San Francisco
