This is a very clean, well maintained vehicle equipt with nearly every additional feature from the factory you can imagine. Unfortunately, I've owned it for a very short period of time (a little over two months). I bought it sporadicly to from a friend thinking I wanted to upgrade vehicles and decided shortly after that this is too nice of a vehicle for my work and hobbies. I took this vehicle to the local VW dealership service department (September 9) and had a full service check, oil change, and CarFax performed that I will provide to the new owner. Additional things you should know:
The battery was replaced when I purchased the Touareg (will provide receipt). I also had a pre-purchase check perfomed on the vehicle when I bought it less than two months ago that I can provide documentation for as well. I did have an issue with the airbag light coming on. Here is what the VW service department found in their inspection (again, will provide documentation): the air bag light was on due to a faulty switch inside the driver side seatbelt. This will not effect the airbag deployment or the safety of the vehicle. They were able to get the airbag light off but it came back on. Cost to replace the buckle with parts and labor (wasn't recommend but for your knowledge): $364. There are some minor scuffs and scratches around the vehicle that I tried to capture in the photos.
The new buyer should know that I made a mistake when transerring the title in my name...the mileage. I wrote the mileage for 1000 miles over what the actual mileage was by mistake. I can promise anyone that I did not set the odometer back. This was a careless mistake and I've tried to get the DMV to correct this and they said theres nothing I can do except drive it 1000 miles more.
Edmunds bluebook value ranks this vehicle a little over 14K for private party in very good (not excellent) condition.
