The frame alone was over half that.
The body is a 1955 OEM Willys replacement body--not a reproduction. When I purchased the body the previous owner made a cut out in the dash and then welded it back in--see the pics. The gas fill hole has been filled in similarly (I have the insert). There a couple of other places were small cuts were made and then the original sheet metal was welded back in. All of these 'repairs' are minor and cosmetic only. I expect it will take minimal body work to finish. The body has never seen pavement--several of the mounting points have yet to be drilled. No rust whatsoever. The frame is brand new by Matkis: fully boxed 2x5 3/16 with 1/4 plating in places and 3/8 front bumper (all powder coated). Winch mount built into frame. Custom Holbrook leaf springs 8 longer than stock for soft ride and flex.
Rear axle is Dana 44 from an 1975 CJ5 (50 width--wider than the 1955 CJ3B stock) with 11 brakes, Summers Brothers one-piece axles, 4:11 gears and ARB air locker.
Front axle is Dana 30 from the same 1975 CJ5 (51.5 width--wider than the 1955 CJ3B stock) with disk brakes and Warn hubs, 4:11 gears and ARB air locker.
All new:
Holbrook Specialties LongLeaf springs front and rear: The longer-than-stock springs give 3 lift, excellent articulation and a soft ride.
Power steering gear (Saginaw four bolt),
Hard brake lines with extended braided stainless soft brake lines (not installed),
Tie rods and joints,
Ididit tilt column, billet steering wheel and hub, Borgeson steering linkage,
YJ model dual diaphragm Brake booster and master cylinder,
Aluminum radiator and Black Magic cooling fan and shroud,
Scat Procar low back seats,
Two new Bilstein shocks,
Engine is EFI Chevy Vortec 4.3 V6 with Th350 and Dana 18 transfer case. Engine wiring is Howell Wiring with computer (uninstalled). Engine is rebuilt long block with under 5K. Shifter is Art Carr/Winters ratchet cable shifter (uninstalled).
Needs gas tank, windshield glass and seat frame completed.
Comes with front fenders, both front seats and headlight buckets.
I have used front and rear drivelines.
Rear drive line, when installed, will be approximately 17 as measured yoke center to yoke center. This is an excellent length for any SWB Jeep particularly for one with an automatic transmission.
Tires and wheels in great shape with the spare being as new.
Bill of Sale only but I do have serial number plate.
I am a licensed Arizona attorney and can be found in the Arizona bar directory--David Cutrer.
